Even celebrities worry about custody issues

Arizona residents and people throughout the country know exactly when celebrities get divorced or are arguing over child custody issues. It’s hard to miss the media attention that follows celebrities and Charlie Sheen is no different. Child custody is a large conflict in his divorce with Brooke Mueller and is a stumbling block that also affects many Arizona couples.

After she was placed on involuntary psychiatric hold following a drug overdose, Mueller temporarily lost custody of her 4-year-old twin sons and Sheen’s second wife Denise Richards was granted custody of them until the end of this year. If Mueller, Sheen’s third wife, can prove she can stay sober, she may be given back custody. However, Sheen is worried at the prospect that Mueller may be granted custody of their sons and thinks her problems are too much for her to deal with at this time.

Sheen and Mueller, a 35-year-old socialite, divorced over two years ago — and he is said to be concerned for his son’s safety if they are put under Mueller’s care. They have grappled with child custody issues in the past.

It was previously reported that there will be a hearing in December in child dependency court, where a judge will decide whether Mueller should be allowed to regain custody of her sons. Social workers from the Los Angeles County Department of Children & Family Services are reportedly satisfied with Mueller’s progress.

Divorce is never easy for either spouse, but when you combine a divorce with spousal support and child custody, sometimes the entire process can become overwhelming. It is prudent for any person facing divorce to find an attorney experienced in and who fully understands and will address the difficult issues that arise. Divorce laws are different according to county and state. Arizona divorce attorneys will be able to guide you toward a satisfactory resolution to this personal and legal matter.
